Pilot-gemaal — the hardware test bench for pump control

A series of physical pilot pumping stations (v1 → v3) built in the lab to validate the CRC pump-control algorithm on real hardware before it goes live on an actual gemaal. Each rig recreates a gemaal in miniature — pumps, pipework, valves and pressure sensors — so we can measure real efficiency curves and prove the machineGroupControl controller behaves the way the digital twin predicts.

Built with and by Avans student teams (≈5 students per iteration) together with the R&D team. The line carries no savings of its own — the energy prize is booked on EVOLV's machineGroupControl node; these rigs exist to verify it.
